You should not have to move her Twice

Many small homes are licensed only for lighter care. When a resident's needs increase, the family is told to find somewhere else, and they go through the whole search again, usually at a harder moment than the first time.

Doasis Care is licensed for Levels 1, 2 and 3. If your mother's needs change, she can stay in the room she knows, with the people who know her.

Dola Sonaike holds the Assisted Living Manager licence and the Certified Medication Technician certification herself, and she runs this home in person. When you have a question, you speak to the person responsible, not to a regional office.

Six staff cover morning, afternoon and overnight shifts across weekdays and weekends. Somebody is awake and present in the house through the night, every night.

Many small homes cannot take couples, and many will not take anyone temporarily. We can do both. Respite and short-term stays are available when a family carer needs a break or is recovering themselves

The Person who will Care for your Mother

Doasis Care is managed by Dola Sonaike, our licensed Assisted Living Manager. She is not an off site owner checking in by phone. She is the person answering when you call, the person who meets you at the tour, and the person accountable for how your parent is cared for on an ordinary Tuesday afternoon.

Doasis Care LLC is licensed by the State of Maryland, licence number AL-01158, at Levels 1, 2 and 3. That matters more than it sounds. Many small homes are licensed at Level 1 or 2 only, which means that when a resident's needs increase, the family is asked to move them again. Here, care can rise with the resident. No second move, no second search, no second goodbye.

The home is staffed across morning, afternoon and awake overnight shifts, so someone is present and awake through the night. With only five residents, the ratio speaks for itself.

A Safe Home, Quietly

Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, fire safety equipment, a sprinkler system, a ramp, security cameras, emergency preparedness procedures, and 24-hour staffing. Grab bars and other accessibility supports are added according to each resident's needs
